Simple Touch is a rapid prototyping instrument for synth designers, makers and musicians. It incorporates 12 touch pads, 6 potentiometers, two faders and stereo input and output. Running on a wild Daisy Seed microcontroller!
The bottom part of the board is wired into a touch sensor and can be programmed to do pretty much anything. Make it into a touch keyboard, patch board, trigger sequencers or effects. It's up to you.

Running the Daisy Seed microcontroller, Simple Touch can be anything from a stereo looper to an analog sounding multi-voice subtractive synthesizer or drum machine. Daisy is 96kHz / 24-bit audio hardware, ARM Cortex-M7 MCU, running at 480MHz and has 64MB of SDRAM for up to 10 minute audio buffers.
Simple Touch follows Eurorack size measurements (3U / 16HP) and since the Daisy Seed can take up to 17V on its Vin pin, it is a perfect starting point for Eurorack modules. You can of course simply connect a 9V battery to power it as well, making it a great portable synthesizer as well.

Start off with some examples
Simple Designer has three official instruments contributed by community members, and a bunch of example projects to help you get started. Whether you're just getting started with programming, or you are a seasoned DSP developer check out our Github and resources to get started.
Modular Touch Synth is a 3 oscillators modular synth with patchable oscillators to give you FM synthesis. You can make a sequence up to 16 steps, then edit and patch your synths while the sequence plays. There is also a chorus and delay, both with changeable parameters.
Sample up to 60 seconds of stereo audio, create three separate loops, manipulate pitch and volume in real time. Use the decay knob to control loop playback.
Chord Buffer stores the last 8 notes played and triggers them as a chord with touch, midi or the built-in sequencer. Notes can be spread out when using the sequencer to create a arppegio. The scale selector will quantize all notes to the selected scale and the random pitch slider will randomize the pitch based on probability (0-100%).
