This is a PCB only package. It does not include components, so if you're a beginner consider getting the complete kit which also includes our video course - Introduction to Synth Programming on the Daisy Seed. If you want to build an instrument with touch pads, this board is gonna be a lot of fun!
Simple Touch is a 16HP 8.9cm wide (16HP in Eurorack terms) and 11cm tall (3HP in Eurorack terms). It's a perfect size to hold in your hand and mess around with the touch pads, faders, switches and pots! You can also mount it inside a Eurorack case. Note that Eurorack requires a few additional components for power and signal level. That being said, you can wire the output directly into Eurorack, just make sure you don't send any Eurorack signals into Simple Touch without adding a buffer circuit.
Simple Touch can hold up to 2 faders, 6 potentiometers and 8 switches. It includes a built in stereo input and output. You can connect various microcontrollers on it such as the Daisy Seed (included), Teensy and Arduino Nano.
Check out the Simple Synth Manual to learn about synth design, soldering, synthesis techniques and more. This document is constantly being updated with more resources for you to learn from.
Simple synth DIY boards are compatible with the following microcontrollers 01. Daisy Seed 02. Arduino Nano 03. Teensy. Other microcontrollers might fit as well. The microcontroller slot includes 48 pads.
You can use various components on the Simple footprint. Officially, the components below are supported, but constantly see makers hack the board and add more components. It is a prototyping board, so feel free to try and experiment!
