The earth box is a box made out of laser cut wood. All the electronic are in inside and the box has an on and off button. We included a battery inside so you can bring the box to friends and family.
The box is managed by a Daisy seed. This microcontroller is dedicated for playing sound. Together with sensors and speakers. We used the APDS9960 Proximity, Light, RGB, and Gesture Sensor to measure proximity and detect colors. The volume is controlled by the TLV493D Triple-Axis Magnetometer. If a magnet comes close the volume goes up.
The idea is to create a device that provides you with an experience, interaction and sound. The interaction is done with a glove. The glove contains 4 colors: red, green, bleu, yellow. On the thumb we placed a magnet. Every gesture with your hand can be seen by the sensors and the box will play a corresponding color.
