We all remember those times we were young, there was a power outage at home and we had to use lanterns and flashlights to get around the house. Taking advantage of this rare opportunity we would cast shadows on the wall using our hands to make shapes and animals. This project takes this shared experience that we all have had creates an innovated way to listen to our shadows and hear the difference between light and dark.

How does it work?

For this project we used Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs) to read into an Arduino Due. These light values were then fed into an pure data where they were patched to specific note values to form chords.
