This interactive installation is an invitation to enter my mind. An imaginative and magical world full of wonder, emotion, and memories. But also, a world with a darker side full of triggers. The objects in my installation represent important themes within my life. Through interaction with these objects, you are able to activate triggers and discover, whether they are positively or negatively charged. You learn to navigate inside my mind by causing unconscious pain or activating positive themes through interaction.

How does it work?

This is an interactive sound installation made of various elements. With the help of sensors movement and touch are transformed into harmonious sounds. To observe this interaction, I use a Capacitive Touch Sensor. This sensor is connected to a conductive wire that is woven through textiles within my installation and detects touch. It also contains a rotary encoder. This detects when an arrow points in a certain direction. Both sensors are connected to a teensy that converts data into sound. Each object within the installation is linked to a specific sound.
